Two years ago Nate and I looked at a property around the corner from where I live. I was so excited at the prospect of getting my third property. We put in the offer and quickly got it under contract. Through the due diligence to the financing Nate was with me every step of the way. I make decisions on gut majority of the time. Usually it works out for me, and sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t use spreadsheets, or properly analyze deals. If it feels right I start putting in the work to see if it goes. Right as we got it under contract Nate started asking me tough questions to answer about the deal and the remodel I had planned before we got to closing. You know that you’re in good hands when your realtor spends his time helping you see that a purchase is not in your best interest. He spent too many hours to count with me on this prospective investment and then gave me the feedback that I needed to walk away from it. I have absolute trust in Nate. Another house in my neighborhood went up for sale in winter of 2024. Nate met me there with a half hour notice. We made an offer, and got it under contract. Again, I was asked the tough questions on this purchase. This time it penciled out favorably, but the financing was a major hurdle. Nate persisted with his experience and creative approach and we worked hand in hand with a mortgage broker that he trusts and we made the deal. Nate knows a lot about real estate as an investor himself, more than anyone I know, but I don’t go to Nate for what he knows. Nate is my realtor because he operates with unrelenting focus on you. He listens to what you are looking for and what you want to accomplish, be it getting into your starter home or an investment property. He is in it with you. If a deal doesn’t align with that he doesn’t hesitate to speak to his concerns and will work hard to make sure it’s the right deal, not just the shiny deal.
